About us
Vohn started in the optical industry in 1991 while he was still in high school. After five years learning everything he could about sunglasses as a manager at Pacific Eyes & Tâs he found a new home. He started working in Del Mar at a high end optical boutique, he ran that store for 10 years specializing in rimless and custom frames from brands like Cartier and Gold and Wood. Then he bought his own store in San Marcos where he specialized in helping people with high prescriptions and wrap contoured lenses. In 2016 his oldest son Alex joined him in the eyewear industry, and went on to run the store in San Marcos for a time. Then in 2018 his middle son Zack joined the team at Europtics.
Our Mission
We at Europtics strive for the highest quality customer service and multi-step inspection process, paired with the most technologically advanced lens designs, coatings, and materials. We recently brought 95% of our edging and finishing in house so that we can make sure the final product is absolutely flawless.
